Pastry.diy Official Rules
Uncensor at your own risk.1. Hateful and harmful content is strictly prohibited.
You will be banned from Pastry if any of the following is spotted in a claimed URL, paste's content or a user's profile: homophobia, transphobia, any 'radqueer' content, racism, sexism, bigotry; graphic and/or realistic gore, pornographic, incestuous, glorification of real criminals (such as the TCC), paraphilic, non-consensual content, and sexually explicit depictions of minors of any kind.
1.1 You can't own URLs with words that can be very easily interpreted in a harmful way by a general English speaking audience despite differences in language or dialect - i.e, we'd say no to a British person wanting a homophobic slur meaning cigarette. This rule is only here to make moderation simpler, and we very much welcome non-English speaking users into our site.
1.2. You're allowed to own URLs that reference 'problematic' media, as long as the content of the paste aligns with the previously set rules.
2. Minors cannot own NSFW URLs.
In this case, NSFW mainly refers to explictly sexual topics and drugs. If you see a user violating this rule, please report it by making a ticket on the Pastry Discord server. Users will be given one warning for violating this, along with the URL transferred to an admin account. If they repeat it, they will be banned.
2.1. If you happen to be an adult who wants to claim NSFW URLs, you must put your age in your Pastry bio or link to a place in which your age is stated (such as a paste or social media).
2.1.1. As an adult, you can own URLs that reference kink or fetishistic content as long as they don't fall into the category of illegal activity; that is, ones that clearly go against rule 1. For example, you would be allowed to own /vore, but not /noncon.3. Alternate accounts are not allowed.
If you're found out to have multiple accounts, and cannot give sufficient evidence to the staff that they aren't yours - the alternate account will be deleted, and your main account will be given a red flag. A repeated offense would mean an immediate ban.
3.1. You may not attempt to bypass the daily claim limit in any way, whether that is by making an alternate account or asking someone else to claim URLs for you.
4. You must have the intention to either use or trade your URLs.
This means, you cannot claim URLs with the sole purpose of:
- Monetary gain
- Getting URLs from a different pastebin
- Hoarding
- For other people
4.1. On 'monetary gain', you are allowed to sell an URL if you claimed it with the intention of using or trading it: it's not valid, per Pastry's rules, to only be willing to sell URLs.
4.2. What classifies as "intention to use"?
If you put anything that implies you're planning on using your pastes, either in your Pastry bio or paste itself, that is enough. To put it simply, "wip" counts.
4.2.1. There is no such thing as a time limit for using your URLs, and we will not enforce one.4.3. What classifies as "intention to trade"?
To prove that you have the intention to trade your URLs (for other Pastry URLs), you must:
- Have a hoard
- Have your contact listed somewhere (stating that you're in the Pastry Discord server is enough)
4.4. If you are probably a real or active user on the site, and you don't perfectly follow these rules - you are unlikely to be punished for it; the point of this rule is to single out unused accounts.
5. Directly stealing code is not allowed.
While we encourage the sharing of code, and judged on a case by case basis if a user directly states they do not want their code to be used, then you must respect that. If you wish to use somebody's code, e.g lifting an entire paste, it is expected for you to atleast credit them somewhere on it.
If it is a minor section of code / the paste is not identical to the original, then this is not needed. However, if there is no discernible difference between the two, then that paste is liable to be rule-breaking content.
6. Hateclaiming URLs is highly discouraged.
If you have sustainable proof someone is hateclaiming an URL you would like to have, you may contact Pastry's staff through a ticket and it'll be reassigned accordingly.
