- Smut. I'm acespec, so I'm not interested in such things (especially discussing them semi-publicly).
- For clarification: I'm good with "fade to black" scenes, makeouts, dirty jokes, a character being turned on but nothing being done about it, and sexual implications. I'm not a prude or anything, I'm just not looking for porn.
- Themes of transphobia, unless otherwise specified. I know that this probably seems contradictory to my all-time favorite trope being internalized homophobia, but hey, I don't claim to understand how my brain works. If a character is trans, then I prefer for it to be treated as casually as possible, without a focus on gender dysphoria (again, unless otherwise specified, like for my Invisiffrin AU).

- Unrequested LGBT+ headcanons (I'll specify my own headcanons in my request, and I'd like my gift to follow those!)
- Non-canon permanent character death
- Eating disorders
- Unrequested AUs, with an exception for "nobody dies" and other such happy end AUs
- Pregnancy/birth
- Real-life political struggles and issues, past or present (examples: Covid, historical WWII AUs, etc...)
- Suicide attempts and self-harm (a character struggling with suicidal thoughts is okay, as long as no action is taken, and characters who self-harm is okay, as long as it's only mentioned in passing)
- Hopeless endings
- Characters trying to 'get with' another character during their very first meeting. This includes flirting with someone they barely know, dating apps, being set up by friends, etc... I don't want characters to not know each other before being romantically involved or having romantic feelings.
- Religion being presented as wholly, unironically positive. Religious fanaticism as character flaw is good (I even really like characters like that)!
- For clarification: I love religious conflict plotlines, and I'm even cool with a character remaining religious after the fact. However, it should not conclude with the idea that the religion and the people in it are perfect, and it's the character's fault for having wavering faith, for making up problems that aren't there, etc. Don't end the story with the tone of, "The character was so silly for doubting!"
